Mena Alexandra (born on the 13th of February 1979) is an actress and model hailing from the United States. Following a brief time as a model in the fashion industry before moving into acting by appearing as guest actors on television shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s and High Incident. In 1997 she made her acting debut as a film actor on Nowhere. Her performances as a character in American Beauty - for which she was nominated to receive the BAFTA Award - and American Pie and American Pie, which earned much attention and recognition, she was able to move into larger roles. In 2000, she was with her American Pie co star Jason Biggs. Then, she played the main character for the role of Sugar & Spice (2000). She also appeared in Spun the independent drama and 2004's thriller Trauma. She also appeared in the HBO's drama series Six Feet Under in 2004 she was nominated as a member of the Outstanding Cast in the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008 her filmography included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh as well as the adaptation of The Garden of Eden and a number of other films. Suvari has been a model for Lancome cosmetics as well as print ads in the brand's Lancome Paris Adaptive and has been featured on numerous fashion blogs and magazines such as Vogue. Suvari is a strong supporter and advocate for The African Medical and Research Foundation an eminent organization that provides assistance to the African continent. She has also been active in issues of empowerment for women and charities which promote research into breast cancer as well as End Violence Against Women.
